Re: Received a Pardon

Dear Friend,

I have been practicing criminal law for over forty (40) years, and I do not know the answer to your question. My first guess is that it probably will, unless you take steps to have your criminal record "expunged". Louisiana has an expungement law. My guess is that most District Attorney offices have forms for doing an expungement that they will supply you for free. You can find the Louisiana Expungement Law by accessing the Louisiana Legislature's Web-site via GOOGLE, then click on Louisiana Laws, then click on the LOUISIANA CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE and/or the LOUISIANA REVISED STATUTES, Title 15, until you find by searching the Louisiana Expungement Law. If I can help you, feel free to call me. We are not allowed here to post our telephone numbers, lest we be accused of soliciting business. I am not soliciting your business, just offering to be of help. My number, however, is easy to find. Good luck!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
