Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Recently convicted
My brother was recently convicted of a felony at which he had private council, however he has no more funds. Is he eligible to get a court appointed appellate council? Any information will be appreciated.

Yes. He should file a "notice of appeal with the trial court. In the notice he should state that he has no funds for an attorney and request appointed counsel.
