Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Resisting an officer
A 'resisting' offense occured almost four years ago. This
was a bondable/fine arrest with circumstances. As a vehicle passenger the alternative given by the officer was to have become a pedestrian on an interstate highway in a strange city at 7 a.m. approx. morning hours, with heavy traffic
and no knowledge of where I was (February Mardi Gras time and cold weather). Question: Can this ever be removed from
the record. If not, what long term effects does this record
cause?
If yes or possibly, how does one proceed?
Thank you.

Re: Resisting an officer
Ultimately whether this arrest and conviction can be removed (expunged) from the record depends on the language used by the sentencing judge.
Get a copy of the court minutes of the proceeding and have a Louisiana lawyer examine it.
