What can I do if my roommate stole $3300$3300 cash from me?

You can call the police first and file a criminal complaint for felony theft. Be prepared with as much evidence as you can find (evidence that you had the money, any evidence that your roommate took it, etc.). You can also file a small claim in your local Justice of the Peace court. The jurisdictional limit is usually $5,000.00 and you don't need a lawyer.
