Sex offender registry time requirements
Can the state government take a first pordons back after it has been awarded when they knew
that the charge I was convicted of was of a sex offence in nature? And, can the state add more time to you registration period when it was aready set at the time of conviction?

I have recently run across this same question. Apparently the new law about sex offenders is retroactive and even though the old law set the registration period at 10 years, it now is for life and applies to everyone. I assume someone will attack the retro part as being an ex post facto law, which is prohibited by Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution.
