Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
The state of Louisianna just accepted charges against me for theft over $500. what is the hardest punishment I could recieve. What is the normal punishment for a first timer like myself. And finally what are the chances of a complete dismissal or probation.

The maximum is 10 years in the Department of Corrections. The chances of a complete dismissal are unknown because, only the prosecutor can do that. The chances of you getting probation as a first offender are very good.
