Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
my step-son is out on bail pending his first court date in Texas however he no longer has a place to stay there. We are trying to get him here with us in Louisiana to help with his situatian. Is this possible and if so how? I was thinking that his dad could sign a document stating that he would be responsible for him and making sure he made it to court. But i just don't know for sure.

You will need to inform the court of his new address, along with the prosecuting attorney's office. You will also need to inform whomever secured his bail. If his bail documents state he cannot leave the state of Texas, you will have to ask the court to allow it. His attorney or public defender will know how to accomplish this.
