Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Is ther a statute of limitations on suing a family who's paronoid schizophrinic son tried to kill me. I had to kill him in self-defense and suffer from P.T.S.D.. His parents willfully let him off his medication, gave him money to drink alcohol everyday and let him possess a loaded firearm. Do I have any recourse for my medical bills and loss of income as I am unable to hold down a job? Mainly is there a statute of limitations on a crime of this sort?
