Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Threatened at work

At work, we have a guy who is very violent. He has pulled knives out on several people and the managment usually yells at him for it. Today he threatened to burn me with kitchen equipment. He did the same to another co-worker and actually chased her with a hot frying pan trying to burn her. We informed the owner and he simply told him to stop. What can be done to make this a safer place for myself and fellow employee's? Can we press charges against him for the threats?

Chasing someone with a hot skillet is assault. Yes charges can be brought.

I am concerned about an owner who doesn't back his employees better. When things don't fit (and an assailant employee not being disciplined/fired certainly does not fit) you have to wonder why. Don't be surprised if the wrong person gets fired.
