is there a time limit on how long you can stay in jail if your the DA hasn't gotten your official police report and how much time before your charges are tossed out and can they be picked back up once they are

You must receive a bail hearing within 72 hours. A bill must be filed within 180 days or you can be released. If time limits allow, a DA can nolle prosse a bill then rebill later.
