If you have been a victim of a violent crime and you fear retaliation, you should meet with law enforcement and the district attorney's office. There are many things they may be able to do to protect you from any threats.

Immediately speak with the detective handling your case and insist on having the Assistant DA handling the case be there. You may wish to have your attorney there is you have one and it is practical.
