Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
I work for a company and my director gave me a machine that was no longer used. I have had the machine for 3 years. Now the company wants the machine back, which I sold, because it wasn't his to give away and I should have gotten something in writing. My director is now denying that he gave the machine to me. I was told they are taking legal action against me. What can I do in this case?

You are in a bad spot but the best thing to do is compromise by agreeing to pay the company for the machine.
