Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
I worked for an elderly couple. The couplehave 2 daughters one who can barley take care of herself the other a drug addict. The father mental state great but he had a bad heart. The mother has dementia but overall fine. The father gave me full access to everything. Which they had almost 2oclock thousand dollars in the bank at that the time. He passed away in Sept 14. The drug daughter wanted me to send her money or allow her her husband 2 grown children to move into the family home. I refused because the father had already said no. On March 9th 2015 I was contacted that the police were at the home to conduct a health and welfare check. I asked if I should come they said no. An hour later I was called to go to the house. The health and welfare check turned into a complaint that I was being investigated for fraud. After all the questions I was free togo. Then in June 2015 I was contacted saying that we needed to have a meeting to clear a few things up on the investigation. And I have not heard anything else. I did hire a lawyer I turned over a huge paper trail as well. Im curious to know how long they have to either charge me with a crime or can I stop worrying about the whole thing.

You hired a lawyer. Talk to your lawyer, who has the specifics you might not have written in your question.
