Drug Arresst
If my son was set up to buy a $20 bag of cocaine and was very inebriated at the time, was placed in the patrol car and then told if he would set up someone else he could leave and he said O.K. and the officers allowed him to drive away in a very inebriated state and now he refuses to try to set someone else up because he does not normally do this and does not know who drug dealers are in the area, can the come and arresst him later and if so would I have grounds for a lawsuit against the sheriffs dept for allowing a 21 year old to drive away in such a drunken state that he could hve caused serious injury or death to him or someone else?

I would be surprised if they arrested him for any impaired driving offenses. I would not be surprised if they charged him with a drug offense.
