How long do they have to take you to court on DUI charge.

The state has six months to CHARGE you with a first or second (misdemeanor) DWI and one year to charge you with a higher (felony) charge. However, once you have been charged, the case is not subject to these deadlines. For instance, if you have been charged and missed your arraignment date, you are not free and clear six months later.
