Friends with DWI
my friend's lawyer is pushing her arraignment date back more and more hoping that prosecution at such a later date will not be possible. Is this possible. She got arrested, refused the breathalizer, they MADE her take one after hours of telling her she HAD to, not the issue, but is there a statute of limitations for a DWI conviction. She was somehow never arraigned, she just got out on bond and has had every court date pushed back more and more. Is her lawyer setting her up to get in more trouble or is this a way of keeping her under the radar until it just goes away?

In certain jurisdictions this is an excellent strategy.
