is there a statute of limitations for a dwi in louisiana? I got a dwi. never got my court date after contacting numerous times. It's been 3 years

Misdemeanors have a two year prescription date prior to filing a bill of information. Once filed, the prosecution must be finished within a year unless the defendant fails to appear and a warrant is issued. Felonies have a three year prescription date prior to filing a bill of information.
