in louisiana what is the requirement for a child to sit in the front seat of a pick up truck

Children can sit in the front seat of a pickup truck, but they must be in a safety seat if they are still small enough to require one. Also, if you have a passenger air bag, you should disable it for safety reasons if the child is in a safety seat.
