Legal Question in Education Law in Louisiana
Forged notes
I am an assistant principal and am surprised at some of the notes I get when students return from absences.
Today, I clearly saw where a note from the doctor had an altered date on it in two places. The mother of the child involved happens to work for that very doctor.
Isn't there a law against this and what are the penalties?

Re: Forged notes
Even if it could technically be called a forgery or an injury to public records, but it is not really a case any DA would waste time pursuing. It is something the school should handle internally.
