Power of Attorney for the ill and elderly
My father had a stroke in February 2001. My mother needs to get power of attorney in order to sell some property to help pay bills. What is the procedure for doing this?

If your father is competent, most attorneys can prepare a power of attorney for his signature. If he is not, you will need to seek guardianship or conservatorship. If you need help finding an attorney to do this, check the directory at www.elderlawanswers.com.
