Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am 6 months pregnant, on bed rest, and have no income coming in at the moment. I have just enough help financially to continue to keep a float in living expenses and to continue paying my lawyer. I would like to hold my ex-husband in contempt for unpaid alimony and for his refusal of giving me my physical custody of our son. Can my lawyer represent me in court if I am unable to attend?

Yes. But he can get you emergency funds if you are in dire straits! If you are in that much trouble, why do you still have to "continue paying your lawyer?"
