Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

IN 1991 my parents were divorced, my mom was awarded a portion of my dad's Air Force retirement. My mom returned to Japan, & has been remarried about 15 yrs. My dad has continued to pay her. Her current husband is retired & receives over $3500 a month, and they are living well. My dad is currently working, but is 74yrs, and thinking of retirement. He will not receive retirement from his current job. Since my mom's financial position has changed can my dad takes this issue back to court to see relief?

More information is required, but basically speaking, I assume the air force retirement was awarded to your mother as part of her share of the community property, or as alimony/spousal support. If it was as part of her community property settlement, she owns it and that is the end of it. If it was spousal support, then normally it ends at remarriage. Simply pull the divorce record from the clerk of court, or read the judgment and it should tell you.
