Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I have a 1 year old daughter, and i have been trying to get visitation. Unfortunately i have a protective order against me from the mother, but the protective order specifically states that I get reasonable visitation among the agreement of the parties. I have been trying to mediate with the mother, but she is not willing to mediate. I cannot afford a lawyer, and i have asked for pro bono assistance but they said they couldnt help me at this time. I am pahying double in child support and is doing everything i possibly can. Im thinking about just filing a petition but i dontfeel comfortable going to court without a lawyer. What should i do cause i really want to see my child.

Have you been to the Legal Services in your area? This is the type of case they normally take and it sounds like you would qualify according to income. You do need a lawyer and it sounds like she is in contempt for failing to agree to reasonable visitation.
