Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I'm 16 years old and need help bad! My dad has touched me sexually many of times and I've tried telling my mom and grandparent's and they never did anything! This has been going on for about 7 to 8 months and I'm really scared what he will do next. I would like to emanspate myself. What do i need to do??? Please help!

If this has happened tell the police or a teacher/counselor at your school. I do not know if emancipation is the right answer. Most 16 year olds are not ready to manage their business but perhaps a friend's parents or someone else could take you in.
I agree with Mr. Casanave......if you tell the police, the teacher or counselor, or your doctor, then they have to report the problem and get the state involved without anyone knowing until the state intervenes. If this really happened, please speak with the police immediately, but do not do this to someone if you are simply trying to get your freedom.
