Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My 17yr old nephew has been living with me for the past 3yrs. Can his Father make him come home. I do not have legal custody

Whoever has legal custody can take him. If nobody has a custody judgment, then either parent can take him. At age 17 the young man might put up his own fight on the issue.
