Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

after 12 yrs. i find out i have a 12 yr old son. i do the right thing, start paying child support and even visitation. in 2009 he came to live with me and my family (wife and 3 children). of course when he lived with me the mother did not have to pay me child support. after about 5 months the now 14 yr old was caught molesting my 7 yr old son. i had him arrested and have not seen him since. he has gone to court over this matter and is on sexual offender probation for one year. now the mother is bringing me back to court for child support. this child is court ordered not to have any contact with any of my family. is there any way that i can sign away my parental rights? will i continue to have to pay child support? can the court reinstate a child support order that was changed to years later without me being contacted?

You cannot sign away your rights without there being others who want to adopt and assume your obligation. Assuming your DNA proved you the father, then you have to support him during his minority, no matter how bad a child he is.
