Adult Guardianshio of 32 year old son

I have a 32 year old son who had heart failure 50 days ago. It looks like mental problems are permanent. One sourse said fee is $1200.00 for guardianship. Is this average? My son lives in Louisiana, so I have to get help from that state? Thanks..

If you are speaking of the legal costs of having your son declared an interdict (someone who needs another to take care of his personal affairs), and if you have "absolute medical evidence" that he is in need of that, you should be able to find an attorney who will do it for no more than $750, or even less if the circumstances call for a lesser amount.
