Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

alimony

I was divorced in Oklahoma, and am receiving alimony. I currently live in Lousiana. If I were to remarry, would I lose my alimony?

Yes in most instances; sometimes a divorce agreement provides otherwise.

It depends on what the law in Oklahoma is since that is where the alimony was set. In Louisiana you would lose it unless there was an agreement to the contrary.
