Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Annullment

What are the qualifications to apply for an annullment if the marriage is less than one year? No children are involved - No community propery purchased - No combined (open or financial) accounts. Everything remained separated after the marriage took place.

Re: Annullment

Louisiana Civil Code Articles 89 through 97 and Articles 151 and 152 give you the answer. Basically, if you had a legal ceremony, neither of you were forced to marry, you were of different sexes, you were not related by blood, or one of you were not at the ceremony and there was a stand-in, then you have to get a divorce. Look at this.... http://www.legis.state.la.us/ After you go to that site, then click on "Louisiana Laws" at the left....

then click the arrow next to "RS" and go to "CC" and put in the article you want to view...then read.......you can go to the next section by clicking that at the top of the page.
