Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
My boy friend and I have been together for eighteen years.We do not live together but he has always promised me that he will take care of me ,hes written that in several of his cards.If we split up would I be entiled to anything? Since weve been together he has been able to save about 2million dollars.We also live in louisiana. Thank you so much in advance. Mariak.

Louisiana does not have common law marriage. You would only be entitled to monies or property you contributed.
