Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
My boyfriend wants to put in his prenuptial agreement that adultery is NOT grounds for divorce. In other words, if he cheats, I can't divorce him, even though adultery is legal grounds for divorce. I think that's asinine and would never sign that. Is such a provision in a prenup considered "unconscionable"? Would that make the agreement invalid?

Any such provision would be null and void.
As an aside, you might wish to engage in some strong premarital and individual counseling before entering into this marriage.
I agree with Ms. Liepelt on both points.
Since he has essentially declared his intent to commit adultery, I suggest you take the advice you probably would give a friend under these circumstances and not marry this man.
Is he rich or something? Why would you even still be engaged to that slug? Ditto to the previous answers........do you think you would be more than a sex object and source of income?
