Checking account

If a mother who has three children decides to put her savings account in her name along with her eldest daughter, and the mother dies. By law does the older daughter have to give a third to her other two sisters. The bank account is in the mother's name and the daughter's name only it does not have and/or on the account.

More information is needed to answer this question. My opinion is that the money in the account is presumed to be owned by the mother and eldest daughter 50/50 since both names are on the account. Please seek an opinion from a qualified attorney.
