Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

child arrear's

HELLO

I was contacted today by my case worker that i was being served for a court date for my arrear's. I'am a non-cust. parent.I did tr \y to explain that i had every intention of correcting the matter within a 60 day period. I even went as far as contacting my childs mother about the matter she had no problem with waitin for me to correct the arrear's and voluntarily contacted our case worker about the arrear's.

Hey our case worker still wants me to come in and sign for a court date or i have 24 hours to pay one half the total arrear's.

My question is what do I need to about this matter

Re: child arrear's

Because so many excuses and promises are made about paying child support arrearages, the case worker does not believe anyone. Go to court and tell the judge how and when you will pay and you probably will get your time unless you have done it before and not lived up to your promise.
