Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Child Custody / Blackmail

My now ex wife is suing me for sole custody of our minor daughter. She says its because I travel for work and therefore my visitation is limited. She has been threatening me for the last year that if I do not agree to this she will take me back to court for alimony and as much child support as she can get along with as much property as she can get. How do I protect myself and keep joint custody of my daughter?

I agree with Mr. Louque on this. The issues are too many for us to give specific answers.

The best way you can protect yourself at this point is to get an attorney. You need to speak with someone well before your court date on this.
