Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

child custody

if parents aren't maried, father is listed on birth certficate, daughter and child live with me, her mother, if she goes out somewhere, and no custody papers are in place yet, can the father legally come here where the child and mother live if she is not home and demand to take his child from me while i am babysitting?

No, he is tresspassing..call the police if he tresspasses again.

I hit the button too soon. The mother should go to court and have custody and support set. If the father ever gets the child and there is no such judgment, then all he has to show is the birth certificate and if there is no judgment saying when he can have the child, there will be problems.
