Child destertion
My 2 yr. got out of the house while I was asleep (early am) and went into a yard behind us. I was written a ticket for child desertion and they wanted to arrest me and take me to jail. I was even read my rights. Would this situation be ''child destertion''?

Child desertion requires the "intentional or criminally negligent" exposure of a child under 10 years to a danger from which the child probably cannot protect themselves.......if you fit the above definition, then you could be guilty of desertion.
