Help with child support

I had a baby one month ago. I am in La. and the father is in Mississippi. He refuses to support his baby. I cant afford an attorney and i make a lil too much to qualify for a legal aid attorney in La. Is there anything i can do to get him to pay child support? could i go to the District Attorney's office? i am at a loss as what my next step should be. please help. any help is appreciated.

You can go to your District Attorney's Office or call Support Enforcement.
