Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

child support

Have recently lost my job of $50,000/year. Have been paying $784/month in child support. Will soon receive unemployment benefits of $284/week before taxes. I will still provide as much as I can, but under these circumstances, what is now my responsibility? Is there a formula to follow?

Re: child support

File with the court to have your support recalculated. While there is a formula, your support obligation is court ordered. Only a superseding court order can change it.
