Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Child Support and Workman's Comp
I have a court order for child support
He hasn't paid in over 2 years
D.A.'s office giving me the run around
Private attorney says he can't do more than the D.A.'s office
Hired a private investigator
Found out he is employed, yet he was injured at work and is out, but is still active
He also found out he has a settlement from the insurance company of his job
Contacted D.A.'s office and gave me the run around
Also has had an attachment out on him for over a year
Am I entitled to any of this money and how can I go about getting any before he recieves the money?

Re: Child Support and Workman's Comp
Child support enjoys a preference in ranking with other creditors. If your x has money coming, back due support is collectable, and current support can be collected through income assignment(garnishment).
