Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
children have lived 14 and 11 have lived in louisiana all their life except for last year mother moved them to florida without changing legal papers. now she wants to change papers and we are being told it has to go before florida. shouldn't it go back to louisiana being that she never changed papers from louisiana judgement and never had court permission to move?

The Jurisdiction that rendered the Judgment that is in force remains the Jurisdiction that determines if that Judgment should be changed or altered in any way. File something in the Louisiana Court that rendered Judgment and make her come here. She should not have been able to move with the children without your permission or a hearing. Something does not sound right here. Either you are not telling all or she violated the law and you need to call her on it.
