Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
communication/visitation
I have recently bought my 3 kids tickets for the christmas holidays, I sent the ticket information by certified mail and the cp states she has refused to sign the letter acknowledging the ticket information. Also in my court order it states that I(father)have to communication with my kids without the mother inteference now will it matter when I go to court to put her in contempt if she does not let the kids come for christmas, plus not letting me speak to my kids,,Now i know that there is a pattern going because I have been documenting the date and times when i call on my calendar will this matter when it comes time for me to go to court..2.Do, I have to hire a private investigator in order to show the mothers life style of going out all the time and leaving the kids @ hm alone? If I try to get custody of my kids ages 9,11,13, when they want to speak to the judge especially the 13yrs old,Will the judge honor this? Any help is greatly appreciated..yes, everything is court ordered..

Re: communication/visitation
If she does not abide by the court order, you should rule her into court for contempt. The remedy should be to relieve you of your child support obligation. Under La. law, the preferred regiem is equal time with each parent. As far as one of your children testifying i would leave that decision up to your attorney. I suggest you contact an attorney.
