Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I have a couple questions and i'll try to be as clear as possible. First, my wife and i have decided to have an uncontested divorce and have come to agreements with about everything including child support and visitation. My question is, they both moved back to her hometown in Michigan, but is she going to be required to come back down to Louisiana for court or any reason?

My next question is should I file for divorce before the required seperation period, or after the one year required seperation is up? Thank you in advance.

Get a lawyer to draft up a joint custody agreement you both can sign and file it with the divorce petition. The more you agree up front the happier you will be through it all.

I suggest that you file once the agreements are signed, so they're done & binding. If everything is signed and agreed court appearances become less necessary. Additionally everything costs less.
