my boyfriend has a 5 year old daughter and he shares joint custody with her mother (the child lives with her mother)
the mothers live in boyfriend whipped and marked the child on the arm and leg with a belt, for not wanting to sleep in her bed. he has also told the father that the child may have to live somewhere else because she is causing to many problems between he and her mother. upon us telling her about the belt incedent (she was not home, he was sitting the child)she has left him, but says they may get counceling and is considering moving back in.
my boyfriend has told ex- wife that he does not want daughter around this man. what can we do to stop this.

Call Child Protective Services and report the abuse. A man who beats a 5 year old child with a belt must be stopped.
He should also contact a lawyer about filing to move the child to his domicile and make part of the joint custody order that this man shall have no access to the child.
