Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

custody change

my ex was arrested on possesion of crack with my son in the car. We have joint custody but she is domicile parent. She is now in jail until the arrainment. What can I do to protect my son if she bails out. Is crack a felony ? She was also in a drug free zone but was not charge for that crime. How can I make sure she is prosecuted to the fullest?

Re: custody change

Louisiana allows for procedures to change custody under emergency circumstances. You probably should not wait until she bails out of jail to seek to change custody.

You should consult with an attorney as soon as possible.
