custody to my wife

I have full custody of my 6 year old son. I was awarded custody after my ex was convicted of doing crack in the presence of my child. My wife & I have two other children. All three children live in our home. If something were to happen to me, would it be possible to give custody to his stepmom (my wife)? Or would he go back to his mom. I do not want this to happen for his safety.
