Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My niece is fighting custody with a man she is not married to but is the farther of the child. He has asked for a continuance for the 3rd time and. she can not find work in this state, and needs to go to school to better her self. It is going on a year now. What can she do to have the court stop and just make a date and not allow this to continue!!! PLEASE HELP

The court is not going to "stop and just make a date" unless somebody holds the guys feet to the fire. If your daughter does not have a lawyer, then she needs to get one who can do this for her. The key phrase is "who can do this". Good Luck.

Her attorney needs to have a new date set and make that date stick. Why can't your daughter go to school? I assume you want her to move in with you and go to school and work with your help. Ask her attorney to get permission for her to move. I assume she is getting child support.
