Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
My daughter is 13 and wants to live with me 100% of the time. As it stands my wife and I have 50/50 joint custody with me as the domicilary parent. What can I do to help her without making it a huge legal battle?

Since none of us knows the child's mother, or you, or your daughtrer, or any of the circumstances of the case, there is not much we can do to "help her." You already have domiciliary status, so I am assuming by 50/50 you mean you each get the child 182.5 days a year and 183 days each on leap year. If by 50/50 you mean "joint custody" then the mother already has visitation spelled out. If you mean that the child does not want to visit her mother anymore, then that will probably not happen unless you can show danger to the child if she visits the mom. So....no matter what YOU have to file, not your daughter, so you need to seek an attorney.
