Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I have two daughters that I am paying child support for. I am engaged to be married to be married, but not to my daughters mother. Will her salary be counted towards income for the child support? If by chance I stop working, will they try and take Child Support from her payroll check? I live in Louisiana.

Generally a second spouse's income is not included in calculating child support. An exception to this is where the new wife's income is used each month to pay household bills, thereby reducing the husband's living expenses. In that case, all or part of that amount may be figured into the husband's available monthly income.
