Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Defendant to Attorney

If I prepare a response to a petition for modification of custody, once I send it to the judge, is it necessary for me to send a copy of it to the attorney that filed the petiton against me as well?

You should file the original with the Clerk of Court and a copy should be sent to the opposing lawyer. I strongly suggest you get a lawyer of your own.
