after a divorce
after a dicorce of a 17 year marriage
and the ex husband retires from a large company is the ex wife of 17 years of marriage due any of the income from that retirement?

I am assuming that you do not have a pre-martial agreement.
Ordinarily, the retirement would be community property and should be divided among the parties. However, it is not uncommon for a spouse to get other property in lieu of their share of the retirement.
In other words, it is impossible to really give a definite answer to your question without knowing everything about your case.
